Does anybody know where I could find a set of front rims for a W 400, I think they were 18 inch. Thanks Todd Munday

International 400s replaced the Super W6 ta but in June of 1955 IH rebadged the production tractors as W400 since they most reassembled the previous W Series. All of them were equipped with 30 inch rears , some had W6 style fenders while others had larger wheatland style fenders with a flat operators deck
I have owned a few of both varieties
there was only a little over 3300 of them made. the center section could have been changed with the serial plate or are you sure it is only 4 digits? this is not my tractor just a sample pic

From what you describe it sounds like a W-400 to me.

The TA housing where the serial number is riveted is the same from a Farmall to a Standard. If you park both tractors side by side you will see a LOT of things are the same, in fact.

What I'm trying to say is, someone could have easily swapped in the TA section of a Farmall 400 because the original TA in the W was out.

Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see I have a bunch of those rims as well. one small correction to above post- channel frame SW6 and SW6T/A only for the 18s- not tub frame
where are you located?

Found rims for the W 400 now I have a question about serial numbers. I looked on tractor data it says the W 400 stopped at 3 thousand and something. My tractor has the wheat land fenders has the w 400 decals but the serial number is 10802. Is this a standard 400 or what. It also has 30 inch wheels on the back instead of 34. Thanks Todd Munday

I am located in NC Maiden 28650 I have just purchased a W 400 diesel. I need the front rims, do you the front wheels also The reason I need the rims someone welded a larger rim to the wheels it is hard to explain. If I can find the right rims I could cut and clean the wheels up or if I can buy both wheels and rims I would like to do that. My e-mail is toddandregina@charter.net. If you e-mail me I also can give a phone number. Thanks Todd Munday
