Woods Mowers Mounting Brackets

Looking at some Woods belly mowers for my Super C. Couple of questions 1) Will the mounting brackets of a 5' L59 for a Farmall C also fit a Super C; and 2) where can i get reasonably priced Super C mounting brackets for an L306 (6' Woods mower) for a Super C. Located in central Nebraska

Thanks in advance.

It's been a few years since I've done this. As I recall it took some digging, but manuals are listed on the Woods website. A simple, several page manual shows parts, installation, maintenance, and operation.
Parts are available individually, or as mounting kits, through any Woods dealer.
I didn't find any bargains!
A&I provides common aftermarket parts, such as arbor/spindles, belts, etc. As with Woods. you need to find a dealer.
I doubt mounting brackets are available aftermarket.

A bracket for the c should fit sc. only thing Im not sure of if you have a 2 point hitch. The woodS manual for SA shows how to adjust the hitch.

On SA mounting bracket is same for L59 and L306

I got a copy of my manual off woods site for free. Its just a pain to find them then sift through woods model numbers to find your tractor

two mounts were used one type used the pulley on the PTO shaft huge and heavy mount clamped to the axle Other mount used two smaller brackets and the mower drove off the belt pulley shaft. I have the smaller type using belt pulley shaft.

Not a C but I have that Woods mower on a BN Farmall and mine is run off a pulley mounted to the PTO shaft. Not sure how different or similar the set up would be on a Super C.

Thanks, looking at the Woods site for parts and or owners manual for the 59 (as it turns out...not the L59) but not finding it. Ummm

No two point hitch on this tractor. I have tried searching the Woods side for the parts manual for the 59 to mount on a Super C and not finding it. Might be there somewhere but no luck so far.

you must have a rigged system never did see a Woods on a B,BN RUN OFF pto must be quite a setup for the idlers as your pulley is the big one

Found the 59HC-1 Manual (I think for mounting a Woods 59 on everything from the Farmall C through the Farmall 240). It is online at a place called "Manuals Online." I have purchased a used Woods 59 that came off a Farmall C. According to Woods, it should fit the Super C. I purchased it via pictures and did not see the rear pulley and shields. The deck looks in good shape, etc. Time will tell as a get it and start putting it on my Super C. Thanks.

Well I bought it new specifically for mounting on the BN must have been mid to late 1970's.

Attaching an image from a woods brochure that shows a Farmall B with the L306 mower and down in the lower left it does say it will also fit A, Super A, 100, 130, B, BN, C, Super C200, H, M, 330, 404.

It's not easy to see in the picture but I put a red arrow pointing to the large rear pulley.

If anyone want to see some actual pictures of my set-up I could take some, just ask!

(quoted from post at 09:28:35 06/13/20) Must be a little hairy sitting almost directly on top of that huge spinning pulley.

Here's a video of a C with an L306:

Well as the BN seat is offset to the right the big pulley is not right under the seat like it is on the C.

You sit well above the pulley on the C, where you're butt is virtually on top of the PTO height-wise on a B.

Well I mostly keep both hands on the steering wheel so have not had a problem in something over 35 years running this BN/Woods! Still have ten fingers!

Not a Woods mower, but I have a BN from my uncle with a mounted sickle mower that runs of a V pulley on the PTO.

Back before I bought the L306 Woods I toyed with the idea of modifying an old horse drawn sickle bar mower to mount it to the Farmall and drive it off the PTO. Back when we bought this property we used the sickle bar mower by towing it behind the BN, still have that mower more or less as a yard decoration, actually two of them!
