656 injection pump

Hi folks, Almost a year ago I lost a good friend. A project tractor of his was at my place. It was purchased new by his family. After his passing I asked his son if he wanted it. His reply was "you should have it, you could do something with it". So I had to move it today and decided to check on it's condition. It seems mechanically complete and with cables it will crank. It looks like the injection pump may have had some water in it and froze. Side plug is broken out of the body. I really don't want to spend big dollars on reman pump just to check for other problems. Is there any good source for a used pump for this 656 with a D282?

Diesel Tech will be on, he is the local expert of Injection problems, or Pumpman, they both will give you good advice ! All i know is water is the No 1 enemy of a diesel, always keep a additive in there to absorb it. Dirt can be filtered out !
