How does directory assistance even work these days? You must still have a Ma Bell land line. If you didn?t how would they direct the charges? We just dropped our land line a couple years ago and prior to that for at least 15 years we had Vonage internet based service and I know of many others that did the same thing. By the way, Google the modern directory assistance shows the info in the link. I have no idea if this is who you are looking for.

I got Consumer Cellular, i get 2-3 a month free, after they charge me, or you can look up phone number of Google also!

Just be careful doing a google search on your name! I did and I'm either dead from all the obits or possibly be accused of murder in 1971!
