Removal of Bearing

I am working on my 47 Farmall M and have removed the drive bearing retainer assembly and I am ready to replace the bearing. Can anyone please give me advice on how to remove the old bearing?

Thank you in advance.

Take the bolt out. Find a hole in steel that surrounds the outer diameter. Use a hydraulic press to push the bearing out from the other side with a ram, or puck that fits the opening, pushing on the outer race. Hammering is usually destructive. Jim

Never had to have a press to get that bearing out, guess Ive been lucky. I just laid the flats across my vise, and tapped it out with a hammer when it was still in one piece, or a hammer and brass rod when the outer part was the only thing in there. Note I said tapped, not beat it out.

Take the key out of shaft, Put 2 wood blocks on each side of housing transmission side. Hold a wood block on top of shaft and smack it a couple of times, or sometime I just lay a wood block down and hold housing and smack down on block. After the shaft is out bearing will just about fall out of most. Mostly same as other posters said, some just do thing a little different.
