Farmall 300 hydraulic repair

I'm taking my 300 to a "general" mechanic for repair of my hydraulic system. Its just too far and too difficult to go to a CNHI shop. My hydraulics just are terrifically weak. For example, they won't lift my NH cutter/conditioner. They'll barely lift a three point shredder and wont lift it high.
I think there is a big leak somewhere about where the belly pump would be on an H.
I'm gonna take my I & T manual and ask they first check the pressure being put out by the pump.
Any other suggestions I can make to help my mechanic find/fix the problems?
Thanks. kelly

There is no hydraulic related parts in the belly pump "area" of a F-300. There is hytran oil in there in the trans, and TA, but it is separate from the hydraulic system. There is also engine oil that can leak out of the rear main there.

Issues with a 300 hydraulics: leaking oil out of the pump into the engine. Symptom is engine oil level goes up.
Pilot valve in the safety/regulator valve plugs up and keeps the hydraulic on demand. Symptom is loads the engine, and heats the oil rapidly, noise likely.
Pressure regulator valve stuck partially open. Symptom low pressure
Worn pump. Symptom low pressure, worse as it warms up.
Bypassing hitch cylinder. Drawbar lowers all the time.
Plugged intake screen. Symptom is noise, slow action jerky Jim
