3688 fuel gauge doesn't work

Has two fuel tanks, what is best way to trouble shoot this problem? Top sensor looks good.

One sender will have two wires connected it's insulated terminals, and the other will have only one. (ground wires don't count for this.)

With the key switch "ON", measure the DC voltage at each of those three terminals with a digital meter and post back with the numbers.

Put the 3688 on shop pad to drain oil lastnight, started working at get to lower fuel gauge and found the sender wire is only about 6" long ! now I will have to run a jumper wire to top sender I assume? I&T manual doesn't have wiring diagram. neither does factory manual.

Found wiring diagram in older shop manual from I&T manual for my 5488. Wire to center post of lower sender goes directly to gauge on dash. I think i've got this figured out, just more time needed. tanxs Ken
