Tractor signs

Good copy shops will make laminated signs or banners any way you like. They also often have tripods/easels for display. Jim

I went to a local sign / banner / awards / engraving shop. They had two-layer plastic red-white material, and a laser engraver. They made two 6" x 12" Farmall-H 1950 signs for me, and I bolted them to the frame rails. Turned out perfect. Signs are red with white engraving. I imagine if you ask around you'll find such a shop.

Most medium to larger shows I've been to, there is normally one or two people in the flea/craft market area that makes engraved signs relatively cheaply.

Else......check your area for trophy shops, engraving, or office supplies.

Assuming you want a plastic engraved sign, start thinking about the size, color of letters desired on color of background, size of font.

Do keep in mind that the plastic signs are prone to breakage, if you haul them with the signs on the tractor. I have had some break while on the trailer with others. Hauling to shows and drives. Usually I didn't haul them for local shows but for the 200 mile trip for the bridge drive each year. I would recommend using a metal sign if you are going to be hauling for longer tips or removing them. One guy had signs that matched the size of the frame rail on an H with the information on it. The sign was painted steel.

I have used a company called The Badge Factory. They are from Gettysburg Pa. good to deal with. Look them up on line.

Support local businesses, find the sign shop in your town. Every town has one. Give them a shot.

Might not be the cheapest solution, but remember that it's a one time expense for your tractor.

If you want a durable sign, avoid coroplast, corrugated plastic. Have the sign laid down on Omegabond or a similar hard material.

I print my own on the computer and then have them laminated at Office Max.
For parades I have them made larger, then staple them to a piece of 1/8" paneling and bolt them to the tractor frame.
For a static display, 8" x 10" is large enough. I punch a couple holes in the top and fasten it to the tractor, either with string or zip ties. You can also get self adhesive magnetic tape and put that on the back.

another vote for Sign Man of Ohio. they have made several for me at Red Power Roundups. magnetic backs, several sizes available. quality.
