Smile of the day

Ran across this comment on a Facebook post and it made me smile
Hope everyone is doing well in these strange times

I remember two old timers talking one a hardcore Deere man and the other international, Deere man said I've owned over twenty 4020's I guess that's the best tractor ever built. International man said hmm shrugged his shoulders and said I only ever needed one old 806.

Too bad a Case man wasn't there. He could have commented on his '30 series as the only one he needed as well.

My buddy has his dads old 806. It has a minor crack in the block, that barely seeps. He uses it for running his JD 1320 mower. Got it's first new clutch last spring, a new starter last summer, and I rebuilt the PTO two years ago. I'm a Ford guy, but sure hard to beat some of the old IH iron.

I've got this 4010. My dad bought it new and it runs perfect. It has 3,400 hours on it.

No I bought a 2510 with a junk aftermarket front end. At the time the 4010 was mostly a loader tractor. I priced them out and the heavy duty 4430 front wasn't much more expensive than the JD front. So the heavy duty front end went under the 4010 and it's front went under the 2510. I kinda regret it now because after buying a skid loader the loader hasn't been on the tractor.

I know where the first 3, 4010 went to which farms in the community, from our local dealer. They all had good luck with them, but if that's a original paint job, that's remarkable!
