Super B

OK, So I am trapped at home due to the virus. Sitting here thinking of possible projects and it dawned on me that Farmall never made a Super B. Super A and Super C but no Super B. I have a nice B just sitting here. So...just for laughs, what would it take to make my B a Super B? I realize the "Super" was hydraulic capability. So... to keep the cute wide axles on the B, what could I marry to the existing tranny that would give me a what it takes? Could a Super C complete motor bolt to the B bell housing? Maybe a Super A motor? Gotta be a way to do this. After all, there needs to be at least one Super B in the world. Help me out here all you Farmall experts.

You would need the engine(with hydro pump) and torque tube(with touch controll block) from a super A, 100 etc. Note that the implement mounting bolt patterns on the torque tube are different between A, B, BN than those of the suppers.
Have seen several of these around so it can be done,

The engine from either a Super A, C, or Super C will bolt right into a B. In fact I believe some of the very last Bs came with Super A or C engines installed, with a block-off plate over the hydraulic pump mount.

However, I don't think there is any easy way to mount the touch control block. I am pretty sure the Super A torque tube won't bolt up to the B's transmission. Maybe it will.

Easiest would be to take a complete super A, bolt the left rear axle housing assembly and front axle from a B onto it, with the wide B drawbar. and then you're finished. If you have a BN then you would just take both rear axle housings and bolt onto the Super A rear.

I did that with my Farmall B years ago, had super B decals made for the hood. Engine was overhauled and a Woods L306 mower installed. I removed the left rear axle and housing and installed an A drive shaft to narrow it up to better match the mower. Dad's first tractor was a Farmall B, and I've had this one since 1993..

I guess I have one from the tranny forward to the steering sector It is a super they made a batt box and mounted the B steering post added the hy systems levers just like a SC. on the steering post just like the SC. Block came from another builder and says SAMPLE on the block in front of the filter. I read that I-H had the supplier put it there so they could monitor those blocks. Serial# is that of a power unit. Generator is like the early SA and the C USES A CUT-OUT they didn't go to regulators till later like in 50 as I have serviced some early Cs still had the cut-out on top of the gen never payed any attention when they went to a different gen and mounted a reg on a bracket under the gen

I repowered My B farmall with a Super C engine, I did not want Hydraulics so I covered the pump hole with a plate. I also installed a water pump. I put on larger rims and tires so mine will go 18 MPH. I redid the cam and now have enough power to pull it at the higher speed for tractor rides.

I have a Super AV Demonstrator with BN parts. I swapped the rear axles and shafts with BN parts and added the BN horseshoe drawbar. I then used a BN seat and seat brackets, pedals, foot platform and steering shaft & wheel on the left side. It's a great parade tractor and gets a lot of looks. It's been over the Mackinaw Bridge 4 times and is going again this fall.

I have a B and I've thought it would be a neat project to add super hydraulics but assumed the B's steering rod would be in the way of the hydraulic pump. Maybe not but worth a look.

I really like the larger tires and rims. How did you marry the larger rims to the B axles? What rims did you use and what size tires are these?

The BN and SA,SAV and A right side differential housings and shafts are the same length. The BN housing has the two bosses needed for some implements where the A series does not have them.
