Farmall MD won't run on diesel

working on Farmall MD that has been sitting 10+ years. Runs great on gas side, but dies when switching to diesel. Rack wouldn't move so took injector pump off, took out plunger, cleaned up, made sure plunger seemed to be free, got rack moving fine, reassembled and put back on tractor. When bleeding air at injectors, have steady stream of diesel at number 3 and tractor still dies, any recommendations, do I need to take distributor block off of injector pump and make sure valves free to move? Also, have diesel at all injector bleeds even when fuel lever off. Fuel pressure gauge reads full pressure.

I have a 450d and I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't switch/smoke white on diesel. After a long of trouble I finally figured out all I had to do was take side cover off pump and manually move linkage/governer so it must kind of get stuck/stiff

You have a distributor block valve stuck open on #3. No fuel should come out each outlet UNTIL the cam opens each valve. I had the same trouble on a 400 years ago, ran fine on gas but died when switched to diesel side with a HUGH black smoke cloud. Found all four block valves stuck open, replaced the block with another good used one and engine then switched like it should..
