excited, relieved and grateful

Those of you who have been following my previous two or three posts know that I tore up a brake seal cage. I got a used one from Bates. I lucked out on the
measurements and it went back in okay. This morning a friend and I got the bull gear back on the axle with a very minimum of trouble. Some things that I
did that made it easier for me. I sawed up several wooden wedges from a 2 x 4 to hold the bull gear up off the bottom of the transmission casting. Also one
wedge to go at the rear to keep the bull gear from rolling backwards. I put a wooden spacer between the two bull gears to keep from pushing it as I slid the
axle in. My friend turned the axle and I felt the spline mesh. I made some big washers out of plywood to pull the axle in using a long bolt. Four dollar
led lights from Harbor Freight with magnets helped. As luck would have it I got am e-mail from Tractor Supply for 15% off of hydraulic oil and grease and
they let me use it for 90 weight. I actually had an easier time putting it back together than taking it apart.

Now,,, I want to give everyone who encouraged me and said your tractor isn't ruined, my heart felt thanks for all the support. Without your help and support
I never would have even considered the repair. I have only met one YTer but I feel like I have dozens of friends on this website. Thanks again for all the
encouragement. Now I have to put brakes on the other side of the tractor that has an M&W hand clutch. Ellis
