IH 464 Hydraulics

I'm trying to get the unloading valve piston out of the unloading and flow control housing. This is the block on top of the rear housing, under the seat. Anyone have ideas of how to get it out, am I missing something? Will try to get a picture to load if it does it is part number 3 on the diagram. Thanks Paul
Can't get the picture to load. Will try a little later.

See if I can get the picture loaded now.

Hi Paul, I don't know if this will work but sometime ago on this web site an old IH Mechanic suggesting loosening the big plug 2 or 3 turn and then start the engine and dead head the remote hydraulic valve and it may loosen the unloading valve. BE CAREFUL not to loosen the plug too much that it will blowout with the hydraulic pressure, just run tractor at idle.

Thanks jimb2. I have everything off the tractor right now, but if it comes to that I'll have to put it back on. Was thinking of trying the air compressor. Paul

Thought I would give an update on the 464 hydraulics. Took the block with the piston in to a long time local mechanic, he got it out with needle nose vise grips, came right out. Got some other valves out of the block for inspection, looked ok. When we were putting back together noticed that whoever had it apart before had the unloading valve piston (part #3 in the diagram) in backwards, that's where the problem seems to have been as I put back together today and ran tractor some with no more dead heading of the hydraulics.
