Looks pretty! Reminds me of how my BN looked all those years ago when I did a ground up rebuild on it. Now it looks like the one in your before picture, except my rear tires are not that good!
 
Got lucky and found a rusted out gas tank
for $20. Little bondo and it looks good.
Will run a fake gas line. Also bought
some radiator shutters.

I did a 39 A a few years back, started out green and ended up Red.
Really fun project and I got good money for it too.

That was the gas tank. The stock tank was badly rusted and had a 10' chain inside rattling around. I cleaned out the tank the best i could, then RedCoted it after i epoxied up the major pinholes.

I was so happy with my paint job...not bad for a Harbor freight spray gun

Really nice! Thinner, hardener? What
paint? I brushed mine. Then used a short
nap foam roller. It came out good. Just
used Rust Oleum paint

Just used enamel tractor paint from Wilco and thinned with Naptha
