Adjusting the fan belt on a Super C

Hi guys, the fan belt on my 51 Super C is slipping terribly and I've forgotten how to adjust the tension, can any body help? Thank you

There are shoulders for a wrench behind the fan right at the slot where the fan can be adjusted up and down. Loosen it slightly and then hold pressure up on the fan pulley while you tighten it back up. I think it takes a 13/16" or 7/8" wrench but I could be wrong.

As I remember, you might have to sacrifice an open end wrench and grind it a little thinner.

Loosen up the shaft in front of that nut..usally a flat spot to put wrench on shaft...you just hold the nut still..then pry up on assembly,then tighten shaft,...done.,..dewy

The nut on the back does not turn it rides in a slot
