rebuild c221 LP 460 kits are all gas/lp hate to lose compre

All the rebuild kits are lumped together gas/LP and I'm assuming everyone is just going with the lower compression ratio?
I know its not a huge deal but certainly is the opposite direction you want to go.
I believe you can still buy the 371093R1 individually but not as a kit.
Any info, opinions or advice would be welcome.

Well the compression is achieved with a smaller cavity in the head,on most IHC LP gas,engine's, that i have seen ! Not with the piston dome,

On those engines, it's the piston dome. Had the same situation 35 years ago with an 806LP. Had to go with a gas piston in #6 and you could see the inconsistency watching the rain cap on the exhaust. Best of luck in your quest,
