Was the far all cub availible in a tricycle version? There is nothing about one inthe owners manual or parts book. Can 't find any pictures of one either.

One problem is its offset like a miniature A/SA/140 and not symmetrical from the top. I think very tippy if you get the narrow track down-hill.

All cubs had a factory WFE. A member of this forum built a nice narrow front for his cub. I remember seeing the pics, which may still be in the archives.

Yesthat was quite some time ago he did a realy neat conversion and had a list of what he did, bought and so forth. Didnt he move the left out the same as the right. It would be neat to convert a lo-boy that way. I mow with an A with narrow front. Made two discs that bolt to the axles so i could them weld to 15x8 rims the built new front pedestal using 13in donut wheels and tires works great with Woods 59 underslung muffler gets under trees doesent tear up turf when turning and makes 2nd gear just rite speed.

The cast wheel and human on the right, and pressed steel on the left makes them rather balanced. With any tractor it is a matter
of sanity on hills and speed around corners. Jim

I know of two guys that made tricycle front ends and put them on 2 different machines. Both are for show only because of the tippy nature of those tractors. But cool to see them.....Kenny

On both the A and B you can easy move the left tire out and with wheel wts have great balance. I dont care what kind of a tractor you mention they all can be upset due to the driver and no one else to blame but him remember some can bust an anvil with a rubber hammer.

I built a BA which is the front half of a B and the back half of an A. So it has a narrow front and narrow rear but I did put on 5 tires instead of the common 4. The narrow side has duel's on it and it seem to be very stable. I use it to mow hay with every year and have been doing so for 5 plus years now

Yep but even then one can get going to fast and try a stupid fast turn. But as you know I built a BA and to make sure it was more stable put duels on the narrow side on the rear to help make sure it was not easy to flip

Thank you for the information. As of Monday I wall be the proud owner of a tricycle front ended Farmall cub. Getting a new tire tube and liner on the two piece cast iron front wheel. I will get pictures on post them next week. Conversion was very well done and the price was quite right at $900.00. Checking it out before buying it was a blast seems very stable on flat ground. The property that it is on changes altitude by just about 20 feet over Acer
Very flat.

Thank again for the information.

I have looked everywhere for information on the Triclye front ends. I have a 50 C with one of these. Can you tell me the tire size that you got? Also...Is there a place to find out what the internal components where in these hubs? When I disassembled mine there was something that looked like a metal sleeve that came out from the inside of the hub...but only on one side. Im not sure that was original. The hub seems pretty simple. Thanks for any help!

Yes. A wide front tractor only LOOKS like it is more stable. In reality, a wide front tractor will tip over just as easily as a narrow front tractor.

The wide front axle was designed to provide compatibility with a larger number of row crops. Not to provide more stability.
