I must go play highly trained and skilled automotive tech. Sooo word to the wise Do not call me don't stop by , plan on me getting into a vary bad mood , beware of flying objects , foul words being spoken and maybe even gun fire. If this wonderful prime piece of automotive engineering was a Flippen horse i would have shot and eaten it a long time ago.

Working on tractors keeps me calm and keeps my PTSD under control . Working on cars and trucks brings it out and add in my Saxon temper this is not a good mix ..

Many years ago I was a mechanic at a Ford dealer, and then worked as a mechanic at an independent repair garage. Today, I take the modern vehicles to the dealer where we bought them for oil changes, etc. I simply do not enjoy working on them anymore. Not to mention that I simply do not understand the electronics.

I also worked in dealerships , first was a Chrysler Plymouth dealership just after i got out of the service and was jobless . I was asked to come to work for them and took the job i became there Expert on the performance cars and they sent me to every school that came out , Became the factory service rep's good friend and that opened new doors . Stayed there for awhile till i was asked to come to a Ford Dealer and take over the drag club program and the two cars they campained and also ended up driving one of them. Then they found out i knew diesels and they also sold big trucks so that was added to my plate Working on the Mustangs with big blocks would bring out my PTSD . And we sold a lot of them along with Shelby's . Owners daughter had a GT 500 convertable and even though she was a FOX she should have been driving a BROOM . Never hated a FEMALE so bad , Nothing you did made her happy . At times i wish she would have went next door and bought a Camaro and let them deal with her. I do stay up on the new stuff somewhat and yews there has been a few times i took it in to the dealer for work only to have to go back and have it done over again or not take it home and have them redo before i left. I still have a couple old friends that still work in the business and will probable drop dead there . The young techs of today just can't seam to fix things the first time because they rush thru the job . Me i am old school , do the job wright the first time and be done with it and NO COME BACKS .Yep i swore i would never buy a scan tool --- I LIED i have a scan tool I don;t like being lied to by some pimple faced service adviser that has never twisted a wrench in his life and is out to upsell you on stuff that does not need replaced. I was lied to one time over a ft end alignment and called them on it , the wife was lied to one time on the old Durango and i called them on that one . That one made me madder then a wet hen to the point i called Chrysler and yep i at the time still had friends up high . They came down hard on the dealer big time . The service adviser and the service manager were BOTH out looking for a job. The look on there face when i showed up and plugged in my scan tool OPPPPPPS .
