IH 274 Offset Planter Question

I was thinking about this and was wondering did IH make a mid-mount planter and side dresser for the 274 diesel offset Tractor? I have never seen one, and did not know if the planter units and side dresser units that fit a Farmall 140 fit that Tractor also. If they do fit and work on those tractors, can someone explain how they are mounted maybe also with pictures?

From a quick glance it looks like the same attachments would work at least on the front because it has the same mounting points.
I can't say that I have ever tried to mount the 140 attachments on a 274 but I have used a 274 with cultivators and everything on the front looks the same from the best of my memory.

Yes the cultivators mount the same way and are the same units but the planter is a different t animal mounting in the flat bosses of the torque tube of the 140 and it drives off the rear final drive.

The drive chain (as indicated below) is coupled to the rear wheel drive pinion with a special gear that turns the planter in direct relation to wheel
travel. I think to make it work one would need a ground driven (extra) wheel that would provide that motion. Ratios and seed spacing (population)
depend on the actual relationship to the travel speed. Jim
