winter anomolies re clutch

To our grand mechanics who have over come IHC winter clutch difficulties.
When I start up our IHC Farmall BN the clutch, "throw out, disengage section" tends to stick causing the transmission to turn over, causing gear grind when shifting into gear from stopped position.
>>Come spring I will do a tear down since I do need to put in a new clutch plate any way and possibly elongate the clutch rod to allow for better adjustment of the foot peddle, [ the one I put in two years ago was not new at the time but was to get me through and running]
>> What type of "anti seize" would be best to use {if any} to avoid future sticking clutch in the winters to come?
>> I figure that cold and moisture is the possible problem; since we live in midwestern Ontario Canada.
Thank you for your thoughts and experience related recommendations.

If you block the clutch pedal down while it is running, it won't be stuck next spring. The pilot bearing in the center of the flywheel can add to the trans spinning as well, but blocking the pedal down does not fix that. Checking the pilot bearing, replacing if it has more than.002 clearance, and greasing it (and behind it in the pocket it is pressed into, is the answer when changing the clutch. also make sure of the level of oil in the trans, low oil allows easy spinning of the gears. If the throwout is causing the transmission input shaft to turn you've got some serious problems.

Nothing in the throwout assembly turns with the engine, and it does not come in contact with the transmission input shaft.

Most likely it is either due to the pilot bearing in the flywheel, or the clutch disk itself sticking to either the flywheel or the pressure plate.

You don't want to lube the clutch disk for obvious reasons. If they're not obvious, try to catch a greased pig sometime. Then it will be obvious. That, and the tractor won't move.

Same goes with the pilot bearing. If it's a bearing, no lube. Replace it. If it's a bushing, graphite. You don't want gobby grease gathering up clutch dust and turning it into grinding compound.

Thank you I will remember to check, replace, adjust all the items you have mentioned as I come to the spring maintenance.
Thank you
