I have an IH 434 with power steering, so it has the tandem hydraulic pumps. The body of the main pump is cracked. The second pump, which attaches to the rear of the main pump appears to fine.
Does anyone know if the main pump is the same part whether it is paired with the PS pump or not. In other words, can I just replace the main pump, which is less than half the price of the entire tandem unit.
The tag on the pump says Plessey Dynamics C25 18VS T, but the pump casting itself is stamped C25 18VS. I'm thinkin that the T stands for Tandem, and that the part is otherwise the same.
