D282 Pre Cups

I have an early 560 with D-282 engine. Upon inspection, I realized that there are no pre-cups installed. The tractor runs fine. Is this a problem? I admit I do not know much about these.

Oh they are in there or it would not run . Maybe you are looking for energy cells on opposite side from injection nozzles. That is a whole different system used on other model engines.

I think you are mistaken. the precup MUST be under the injector to get a seal. there is two brass sealing rings. one under precup and one under the injector. plus the precups have an arrow on them to face UP . other wise u have hard starting.

I don't see HOW it could run WITHOUT the cups. Did you have the injectors out? There are two gaskets, one under and one on top of the pre chamber cup that the injector body seals against, the top dust O ring won't hold compression.
