350 serial number letters

My 1957 350 has a four digit serial number and then the letters DC on the serial
number plate.
How can I find out what the letters stand for or does someone know?
Thanks,
Tom/Idaho

I checked the 300/350 parts book and this is what it says.
The D stands for "5000 foot high altitude attachment"
The C stands for "L.P. Gas-burning attachment" (Standard altitude)

That is what my parts books says. Does not make any sense.

On a F-350 D is for 5000 foot high altitude attachment and C is for standard altitude LP attachment. Doesn't make since unless it's a utility 350 which I think used D for high altitude attachment and C for LP attachment that makes it a LP built with pistons for intended operation around 5000 foot elevation give or take 2500 or so on each side.

LP gas engine w/high altitude pistons to give the engine a little more"boost"? LP engines like higher compression. jal-SD

Makes less cause it"s gas for sure. I"m the second owner and I know the previous owner did not convert from propane to gas. And I would think the serial tag is original. Great tractor. I really enjoy driving it. Now days it"s only job is pulling a 6 foot Woods brush hog around 6 acres. Thanks,
