M center steering shaft support

I took a few pictures of the center steering shaft support. I tried to find a new casting with no luck. So--- I reamed this out to 1 1/8 and brazed in a steel bushing. If it doesn't hit anything I will leave it long, otherwise I may need to cut it off a little. I did the support by the steering wheel the same way. I have done this same thing on my other M with great success. Ellis

That's one way of doing it. I always just bore and ream them out to fit a standard bushing and then press it in. I usually go with a bronze or oilite bushing.
