Farmall F12 price

I was just trying to get an idea of what I should pay for a 1937 Farmall f-12 plus a parts tractor with it. I am not sure what the parts tractor looks like.

Can you turn the engine over as in is it locked up or free? If locked up scrap price is all it s worth since you do not know if the cylinders are full of water.

It looks to be a 34-35' F-12 they had the primer on the hood as this dose Kero manifold.
Bet it has 2 bolt air breather can't tell from picture and serial # way to early to be and F-14.
Back in the day you could upgrade your F-12 with 14 things like steering shaft.
Rule of thumb never pay more than $500 for none running tractor.

I have 2 of them in running condition. I made an electric start on one. Having an auction this April. What will they bring?

A fair assessment without better pictures is going to be rough.
First check all fluids, the F-14 doesn't have a dipstick so open the bottom cock on the oil pan to see if any oil comes out.

Smell the gas, if any.

Check the entire tractor for any cracks, welds.

Crank the engine over and see if you can hear the mag click.

Any radiator leaks? Older farmers sometimes just used plain water and dumped the water on nights that were going to freeze.

Sheet metal in good shape?

After your static inspection, go around the tractor and figure up what you are going to have to buy. Like is the belt pully missing?
Is the u-joint cover missing? Is there is an extension for the PTO?

There are two reasons for buying an old tractor. One is for farming and the other is restoration. If it's for farming the F-14 is not very practical. If it's for restoration, I recently saw a totally restored F-14 go across the Mecum auction block for $1250. And that was two weeks after I bought mine for the same price. And I have a long way to go...
