Needing a Super C block please

Hey Everyone,
I thought I had a block for my Super C but it turned out to be a C block instead. Bottom portion of the pistons sleeves won't fit. I live in Springfield Missouri and would drive to get one. Thanks everyone!

so you are using the original sleeves are they to large to fit on the bottom of the block. If so your original block used the larger sleeves that can take 3 1/4 pistons even though the cu in was 123 the block you bought will take the 3 1/8 sleeves having 123 cu in you need the part # on the block to see which block was original as there is a difference on the bottom where the sleeve fits Measure your sleeve where the o-ring seats and go from there the top OD is the same whether the sleeve is for a 3in piston or 3 1//8 or 3 1/4 bore.

Hey great that is the later block that will take the sleeves with 3 1/4 bore if you want giving you 135 cuin. It will also take the standard 3 in or the 3 1/8 bore just tell where ever you order parts the block # cause the bore at the bottom is larger than the 123 block need any more info be glad to help good luck

So you must have ordered sleeves for the 123 block they should have asked about the bottom bore dia where the o-ring goes.

I'm using the original sleeves from the block in the photo. Dad did a complete rebuild so the sleeves and pistons are in great shape. The block just kept cracking vertically and horizontally. He had it repaired three times with nickel rod. When he passed I got the good old girl.

It has been done to machine the block at the bottom to install your sleeves you only need to remove 30 thous material so your sleeves will fit it has been done for those who wanted to use the 3 1/4 bore sleeves. Mite want to see if your shop would do that take a sleeve to them and see what they say. If I remember your sleeves are 1/6 OD larger at the bottom than the present bore there. I haven't priced those assy lately but hew sleeves and pistons are around 300 for that bore check prices as they do vary. You could end up with 135 cu in if you wanted the power.

Is your bore 3 1/8 or maybe be the 3 1/4 either way I don't see any reason why the sleeve could not be turned down its not realy that much material.

That's actually not a bad ideal, turning them down. I do have a lathe. I'll check with the local machine shop first. Thank you so much for giving me advice and things to try. Thanks to you I understand what I have now and what I need to look for. I appreciate you and your time.

OK as always glad to help good luck. You can get the OD from an old sleeve for your "new" block then turn your sleeve to that dim

if it was just that easy to take 30 off the sleeve i think some one would be offering them that way. have to take it out of the
block
