SM/400 lpto

I have a SuperM,and a 400 that is TA/Lpto delete.A SM in 400 'clothes'.I also have a junk SMTA and a junk 400 out back. I was thinking of rolling the SNTA rearend to my SM front. Maybe make a SMTA? Or putting the LPTO parts in the 400. Don't really care about the TA part. But LPTO would sure be nice.However,I really don't use those old tractors for haying/pto work anymore. I use 06/56 series now. So it would be just a 'fun' project.LOL!Or maybe just abandon the whole thing.
 
The SMTA has a locked up/stuck engine and a lot of missing parts. the 400 is missing it's engine(I put it into another M) and the TA is (supposedly) out in both sides.This tractor came from a dairy, was badly abused and is pretty rough.
 
If a stage 2 SM with hydraulic unit under seat it's pretty easy. If not a stage 2 a little more work. All that's needed for a stage 2 SM is unbolt the SM in front of the center housing, install a clutch from a SMTA ETC. models and mount the SMTA rear to engine. If the SM front bolster is left on all the SM parts forward of the clutch housing will work including the hood. If using the SMTA front gas tank and steering support use the SM worm shaft housing. It has a little different angle than when using a SMTA longer worm shaft. With a hydraulic unit under tank move the rear tank support to the forward holes in the unit. Now your left with needing longer rear steering shaft, choke rod, throttle rod, starter rod for a Stage 2 starter if used, some wires longer, hydraulic lines longer. Space the SM rear steering post up 3/4 inch or use the SMTA post. If a stage one SM and you want hydraulics you would need to add a reservoir, pump and lines as needed. Need the battery under seat or mount it someplace. Rig up a rear fuel tank support. On a SMTA that came with no hydraulics they just made a extend on a support like a stage 1 SM at top for that. Other controls would need a few things.
