Farmall 460

I have a Farmall 460 with a narrow front. It has a front pedestal off of a H or M because it has the old style front wheels like an h or m. I want to change
the pedestal so I can put the disc style front wheels on like it should have. A fellow at a salvage yard I talked to on the phone told me I can put the 460
hubs on my pedestal, but I think he is wrong! Can anyone tell me if I?m right and what pedestal fits my tractor? Thanks in advance.

Front pedestal or lower bolster can't be from a H unless modified. Look on the post part up and down for a number 6719D?. If found that's a M through 450 fit lower bolster. Depending on the second letter after 6719D as to what years used, latest ones were DD. If that's what you have the short answer is YT parts and others sells a 6 bolt hub number 223311 to put disc type wheels on that lower bolster. M bolster uses a spindle with inner bearing ID at or close to 1.688. Outside 1.375 ID. Both a 460 and a 560 inner bearing sizes are different from a M and also from each other. Short answer is find a lower bolster from a 460 up through several narrow front tractors with hubs that match the 4 bolt pattern at top of pedestal, length you would like and hub to rim bolt holes wanted.

If your from the Kansas area a pedestal with hubs for a 460 , cost 150 is for sale on International & farmall parts exchange.
