International 660 won't start

I have a 1958 International 660 which up to today, always started. Recently, I tried to start it and all it did was clunk but then it started fine without issue.

Today, all it does it clunk loudly when I try to start the engine.

Could be: batteries are toast. They'll charge but not much amperage. They're two 12V collected in parallel.

Could be: starter solenoid is shot or the starter is broke. Starter is a dixie TS-1666.

Could be: engine is seized.

Here's a video of the clunking engine: https://youtu.be/3CG5trFEd3c

Here's a pic of the starter

Your video requires signing in. Not happening. But
Most often the issue is low battery voltage Use a meter from post to post on each should be 12.5 or 12.6 on each. It could be a bad connection or bad cable (internal
issues are hard to find. It could be a stuck starter drive in the ring gear. Loosen the starter bolts 5 turns each and wiggle it. if free to wiggle it is not jammed, if
it made noise when you loosened it it was jammed. When cranking (or trying to crank) the voltage needs to be at or above 10 volts. Jim

If the video worked I could tell you what it
is. Not sure what you mean by clunk? Do you
mean the common click of the selenoid not
working? Or a hard clunk that starter can't
turn motor? Just try turning fan by hand, or
rocking in 5th, also make sure battery
connections are good. If you got any other
farmalls that that starter is interchangable
you could try swapping them or with your
neighbors.

need a better explanation of "clunk" that is not an original starter for that tractor. the starter usually will make a click sound.

Thanks all for replying. I ve located the issue - the issue was twofold. First, my ground had gotten loose. Second, as a result when charging the batteries, it wasn t charging properly. So start time, I had rubbish amperage to the starter.

Lesson learned. Thanks for the tips everyone.
