SA 12V Conversion-Final Question

I have the 1_wire alternator installed and have disconnected the F terminal wiring from the light switch and reversed the ammeter wiring as DeltaRed previously outlined on 12/7/19. One question remains before I energize the system. The light switch on my SA is a 4-position switch...Low charge, High charge, Dim light and Bright light. The Steiner catalog, Part No. IHS1636 shows this switch for use with a cut-out relay charging system. The wire from the cutout relay F terminal which is no longer in use is connected to the light switch at a terminal that looks like one end of a brass bar wrapped with a coil. Can I still use this switch or do I need to get a different one. I don't want to energize the system and burn it up. Your advice will be appreciated.

Your existing 4-position switch will work fine! The first 2 positions (L and H) simply become 2 alternate "off" positions for the lights.

Cant help with the switch issue.I usually always remove and discard the old rotary. I put a good quality push/pull in its place.Just pull power from the ammeter to switch, then to lights. Correct,no. but does it work and give trouble service. Yes.
