Paul:

Case/IH dealer in Burlington, NC advised the only square heads are what Case/IH dealers might have left in their bins from years ago, but they no longer stock them. Check the web pages for "Fasteners" as I had need of the same some months ago. A neighbor provided me with some oldies, but I did find a company that manufacturers them and forget who they were?

Paul,
You can also get them from McMaster-Carr in Chicago by mail order. They have a good selection of all sizes. The smaller ones you have to order a box, but large sizes can be ordered by the bolt. Their web address is www.mcmaster.com. I replaced the 5/8" bolts that hold the rims on on my MD and they were about $1.40 each. Roger

The square head bolts are on page 2852. You can get to it by going to the contents page which is the opening page when you go to the web site. Then look down to "Fastening and Sealing". Then go "Cap screws & bolts". Then Bolts, and finally "square head". You can see the actual catalog page also. Hope that helps. Roger

Paul; I bought new bolts for my rear wheels on my BN. Got them at Case/IH dealer. He had to order them and they were expensive. Eight 5/8 x 2 1/4
bolts, nuts, washers and lock washers cost about $38. This was the only source I found for grade 5 square head bolts where I didn't have to buy a large quantity. Dave BN.

I don't know if Case IH offers them or not, but I know that JD does. They still use them to put weights on with.

Farmall uses a 3/4 as JD uses a 5/8 diameter bolt

You can buy them at IH, but the price is high! I ended up using Hex head bolts. Too cheap to pay the IH price.

..... ..and then you can chuck them up in a lathe and face off .010 or so, and leave the center spot in the middle. Now you have an old fashioned square nut....Dave
