Doesn't this look like a H?

Hard to tell with the picture but it almost looks like
the sheet metal is too deep for an H aft of the
engine so I?m going to throw Farmall 300 on the
table. Sam

Based on what looks like the battery box I would say its a M as the battery box on a M is where you see this one and on a H it is closer to the engine. At least that is the way they are on my 43 H and 43 M.

I think it is an H, battery box is gone, but the white plastic cased battery is sitting on the bracket
for the box, probably the box rusted out. Can see daylight under the back of the gas tank. Can't really
see much detail of the steering shaft and throttle rod over the gas tank, or the headlights and seat.

(quoted from post at 02:42:57 03/03/19) Absolutely! Taken on a Moto Droid phone.
On a laptop screen shot and had to cut out the address of a house and some license plates. Google maps. Supposedly my grandfather bought that tractor from a family friend, then kept it for 20 years, then sold it to a guy in town, then he sold the tractor to another guy in town. I’ll see if I can make the image better. I kind of was in a rush last night.

No question the picture is not really clear enough for any kind of a positive ID. I do not think it is a 300 though, the steering shaft enclosure on those slopes up towards the center line of the steering wheel. In this picture you can look through above the rounded and down sloped rear part of the gas tank and see the right rear wheel rim as would be possible on an H or M. Is this tractor located some distance from you? Any reason you can?t get a better picture? If you want a positive ID we need a better picture.

On second thought, are you trying to see this using Google earth street view? If not and this location is viewable from a public roadway you might try that and get back to us.

This is from google maps in 2007. I would rather not share the person address or info to the whole net (nothing against people on the forum).

You said your family thought it was an M. I am 100% positive it is NOT an M. It may be a 300, but it is probably an H.

Would you be able to tell by the air intake from on the top of the tractor? I found one when I was looking for a part in the garage? The only issue at the moment is that it’s in the snow (I have a rough idea where) and at some point I might have ran it over with one of the tractors (might look a little flat).

The scale of the front wheels to the hood is more indicative of an H. I'm pretty sure it's not a 300 because the fuel tank looks rounded to me. You would see red sloping up into a dashboard if it were a 300, but it is sloping down into the trademark rounded fuel tank shape.
