Farmall 656 gas exhaust manifold

Stopped at local IH dealer tonight. They tell me the exhaust manifold for my gas 656 is obsolete.
Mine has broken off an ear and is cracked in several places.

I see several places listing aftermarket ones but wondering about fitment and quality.

Anyone got any wisdom to share

I would try a salvage first and get both. This website sells them new but there may be fitment issues with alignment if you just buy the exhaust.Plenty of them out there.

I have used after market , what you will need to do it get the exhaust off the intake and that will be fun , then getting the bolts out of the intake is a challenge . to make it easy it is best to cut away the exhaust about and inch above the split and cut around the old bolts so you have something to grab while you heat and turn . Once you apart then is the time to clean out the stove . Then when you put it all together you will have to have it faced off so all is flat and true . Sometimes ya have to do a little die grinding to get the manifold bolts to clear to go into the head .

There should be good used ones galore out
there. Im not positive but 460, 560, 706,
may all be the same. And maybe even combines
