Mine finally gave up the ghost after having had to tap on it for last several months. It is a 52 year old Delco Remy and I was having a tough time
finding a " new " one so finally decided to take it to local rebuilder who has been in business for years . They had it rebuilt the same day and
charged me $49.00 . I opened it up and it looks like they did a good job . They had to turn the armature and replace the brushes, etc. as the brush
holder had grooved it . It is nice to get something fixed for a reasonable price in a timely manner once in awhile .
