Im thinking about parting out my 46 H it has a m&w live hydraulic pump with the vertical delco distributor and what i believe to be a heisler 9 speed tranny and was wondering about their resale value, it also has a IH factory wide front off a 350. Motor is leaking anti freeze into the crankcase i replaced the head gasket this spring but it didnt look all that bad, still leaking, any input would be appreciated

I would try to dump block sealer in motor and see what happens. If that don't work and rear tires are good might look for running engine.

The H parts market is pretty much flooded. As one of the most numerous tractors ever built, they're cheap to buy and easy to disassemble. Everybody that fancies themselves in the tractor parts business has pallets and barns full of H parts...

Front end's worth 3-4 hundred if it's in good shape. Pump and distributor 2-3 hundred more. It might take a while to find the right buyer at those prices. Most want to pay much much less.

I'd either fix it or sell it "as is".

You'd wait a long time to find buyers for parts.

As someone else said, H's and H parts are flooding the market. A friend of mine who has a ranch in the Nebraska Sandhills has 6 H's. Four with dedicated jobs around the ranch and two parts tractors.

Cbert Welcome to YT. I think Barnyard has a pretty good ballpark of your parts value. Are you
interested in keeping it if you can fix it? Now I have no personal experience with this but I have
read on here that early H?s have a small water jacket soft plug in the front under the timing gear
cover. It can rust through and leak water in the oil. Maybe if you want to pull the oil pan and see if
you can see where the coolant is leaking from.

Thanks everyone for the input, guess I?ll keep the old girl, didnt know the parts market, I came to the right place for answers

Original engine in a 46 model didn't have the coolant plugs in the block. Dropped during the 44 year.
