What is the DC current rating for this starter under it's heaviest load? Even an estimate if the spec'ed value is not known. Thanks

"friend" goggle says 250 amps - I should have looked there first! goggle is always right isn't it?

Commonly if the engine is warm, or summer starting temps are present, that might be true. I think you will find 350 is more like it. In the winter, it could see 450 with a warm battery and a coolant heater on the engine. Most parts houses have a starter amp draw meter that is held against the cables (no actual connection) that measure to 600 amps. (and are cheap)

I used to receive training from my job before I retired. Whenever this topic came up the answer was too many variables for an actual spec reading. Engine condition, engine temp, battery temp, cable condition, and so on. And it takes more amperage to get it cranking than to keep it cranking. Mark.
