Farmall Block Identification

Hey Everyone,
So I bought a tractor I thought was a Super C. The block leaked a ton and had been repaired numerous times. I tore it apart and pulled the sleeves. I noticed the pistons are Fire Crater. I have included a picture showing the bottom side of one of the sleeves. Can someone tell me what type of block I need to be looking for? I will include a photo of the block numbers also. I'm new to tractors so be gentle. Thanks

Unless I?m mistaken the 354898 block has the
largest diameter at the o-ring seal at the bottom and
will accept the largest sleeves. If the replacement
block is another number it would require machine
work to fit your existing sleeves to it. Sam

Thanks Sam for the reply. So is this block a Super C block or do you suppose a prior owner might have changed the block and used one from a different type of tractor?

Yes this is a Super C block, with a cast date of Feb. 1, 1952(*2*1*X*). The engine serial number of FCM137710 indicates a Super C tractor made in March 1952. Check this engine serial number with the tractor chassis serial number, they should be within a few hundred of each other. You can also check cast dates of other parts of the tractor.

thats what I told him a few days ago. He either needs to machine the sleeve at the o-ring area or the block where the o-ring is.
