MW Throttle On H....

Is there a different governor control rod that gets used with this throttle lever? I can't get it to idle down all the way without the rod hitting the side of the throttle mount. Wide open isn't an issue, but it's not reading right on the indicator on the handle i.e. it reads 5 & not 6. I don't really feel like bending my rod to conform to the issue either. If there are mods to be made to the tractor, I'd rather hang it back up on the pegboard & go back to the old sawtooth that came with it.... or just be rid of it. Can't say as I'm very impressed & don't get what all the fuss is about.

No fuss from me. There is a pivot on the engine at the carb side of the valve cover. It has springs and adjustment nuts to allow the throttle linkage to be corrected in length. The springs should be slightly compressed (maybe 1/4 inch) and the rod set so the hand lever pulls the governor arm all the way when both are all the way wide open. Jim

Yep, got it. Took a break from smashing my fingers, putting weights on the front of the 806. The adjustment on the H went a lot better. It only needed a couple turns of the nut. Now, I'm off to get some ice for my hand & icecream for my face.

Many Thanks!
Mike
