I have a '51 C that I use now and then. It sits in a three sided open barn. I went out to fire it up the other day and saw the radiator cap was missing. I'm not sure if I took it off and forgot a few months ago (even though I can't find it anywhere) or if I have a neighbor that needed one.
Anyway this radiator has a neck cap one like a car and hooks on the outside, not inside. I don't think the cap that was on it was correct but seemed to work fine. I just picked up one at the local auto store that fit a 2.5" neck. It says 16 pounds pressure on it. Should I modify it so it won't pressure (maybe drill a hole in the bottom part or will it be alright to use? I haven't ran it but a few minutes since I got it.
