Farmall M slow throttle response/sloppy

Recently got my farmall M running, when I move the throttle lever, it has a bit of play in it before it actually moves the lever at the governor, I tried tightening the nut at the throttle shaft springs, it helped but its still not enough, to get the rpms lower at idle I have to manually help the lever by the governor to get it to idle down. As well as the response is quite slow, when i do throttle up it takes close to 5 seconds before the rpms rise, any help is greatly appreciated!

And my dumb phone wont let me search archives, just says my connection is not private, im sure someone has posted this before but it wont let me search for a keyword under archives, and id rather not scroll through the thousands of topics!

Did you have the governor off, the carburetor end, and not get that tang in their on the carb right, that will give poor throttle response!

(quoted from post at 20:29:49 09/15/19) Had the carb off but not the whole governor, 99% sure i got it all back where it was, ill take a look tomorrow if we arent combining, then the slop in the throttle, that just stiff is old and worn out?
