80/90 wt in my trans

Just dumped 3 gallons of 90wt oil in my 504 transmission. Next course of action? Haven't started moved it. Do I need to pump it out?

If you have another older tractor that you can fill the rear end take it out and put it in H,M etc. It will shorten the life span of a t/a and if using hydraulic stuff it will contaminate and be slower. If you live in the northern colder states you will regret having it in there. Might get by with it in the south, but only if you are the only one using the implements that the oil will mingle with. An opinion.

It only effects the TA if you use it in the winter. I filled my 350 with 90/140 20 years ago when I bought it (to replace the mostly water and oil mix) and it was fine for the next 15 years, the tractor saw little use in the winter months and no winter TA use (very little TA use in the summer either). Finally drained it and filled it with hytran and the transmission and PTO have leaked and emitted all sorts of extra noise with the lighter oil.

90W in the hydraulic oil system is probably the bigger issue - especially with other tractors hooking onto the same equipment.
