1953 Farmall Super A Gas Tank

Where can I purchase a new fuel tank for my Super A. My old one keeps getting rust in it no matter how many times I clean it. Can I buy a new or reman tank for it.

If you have it cleaned at a radiator repair shop by boiling it out (their cabinet/machine) And then you coat the inside with a liner liquid as in
the directions, and let it cure as in the directions, or longer, it will be fine. Jim

I did not have a rust problem with my BN instead it had a crack at a spot weld for the mounting bracket. Once drained and washed out with acetone I used this outfits sealer:

They even have it in red so inside of tank matches the outside!

That was about two years ago or more and no leaking now. But as in any coating or painting the most important thing is the prep work. Second most important is follow the directions!

I might suggest calling and talking directly to them about suggestions on cleaning your tank.

If gas tank renuzit is still around they can fix it with a coating. I had both of my pickup tanks done for diesel fuel about 15-20 years ago with no problems and are still holding fuel in them.
