Gold demonstrator ??

So, I've been running the discbine and baling hay for 30 years with a 1970 black dash 826. It has pretty good original red paint. What's the chance that it is a gold demonstrator that was dealer repainted in 1970 ?

Any Gold paint starting to show up, especially on the casting?

I thought just the sheet metal was gold on the demonstrators.

Look under the fenders, or peel back the rubber on the headlight housings. Those are places that are usually not repainted well

taking the fenders loose from the fender mounts showed gold real well on my 826 demonstrator.
