300 clutch questions

So as stated in another post I just bought a 300 U quite affordably this past weekend. Right now the engine needs to be rebuilt, but when loading and unloading the tractor from the trailer I’m realizing that the clutch is not disengaging.

By far I am not a clutch expert (at all). I’m curious what sorts of things I should be looking at to fix this issue. Will I need to split the tractor? Is it probably an adjustment? I dsp how or what? Etc.

Thanks so much in advance. I appreciate all the replies and information as I explore and start the rebuild on this project!

Thanks,

Karl

Pushing the pedal down feels right but the engine is still connected. Probably the clutch driven disk is rusted/stuck to the flywheel. Getting it unstuck when not running means (probably removing the inspection cover under the housing, and taking the PP off the fluwheel, then messing around with the disk to get it free, If you intend to rebuild the engine with a split, no worries, do it then. Janicholson,

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to check this out and seems more than likely to me... Chances are it's a push for me to split the tractor and do it right (replace the rear main seal) as well.
