I have a 49 A farmall, i put electronic ignition on it with a new flamethrower coil. It is still 6 volt positive ground. It runs great for about 15 minutes then spits and
sputters under a load. It will run fine if you let it set for a while. It is not the fuel cap vent, it seems to be getting plenty of fuel but choking it does make a
difference. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

How did it run before you "fixed it" with the new coil and EI?

Might be worth sapping the old coil back on, followed by the breaker points, if no change with the coil.

Not hard to do, wouldn't take long, and doesn't cost anything to try.

Well it didnt have any power and i was having trouble with keeping the points adjusted. I got to thinking if my generator wasnt putting out the correct voltage that would cause the ignitor to fail, right? I have had trouble with that before. I wouldnt think choking it would make any difference if it was something electrical. Kinda aggravating if you know what i mean.It runs great for 15 minutes or so then starts to missing.
