2 point PH digger

Bought a 2 point posthole digger yesterday. Any idea if this is an IH or a homemade adaption? Need to free the PTO shafts and replace the seals. Everything turns and no markings other than "oil level" at the plug.

It looks pretty original. Some tweaking in the pipes is evident. An early Farmall 400 fast hitch would be ideal for it due to the
front (pitch control) cylinder. Jim

I can 100% positively say it is NOT an IHC post hole digger. IH never made one or rebranded one made by
any short line company like Danuser.

Looks like that is mostly a short line company Built post hole digger with some farmer engineered
enhancements.

If the gearbox holds oil and the PTO shaft turns and the auger turns it should dig holes.

I bought one just like that last October. Had to rebuild the top part of the auger that was broke apart with another piece of pipe, but it is a digging monster!!! It went through tree roots like butter. The person who had owned it before had put hard surfacing on the blades and then sharpened them to a knife edge. It makes digging post holes quit easy!!!!!!!!
So if you find out who made it, then I will know also. There are no markings as you said on mine either.

Thanks guys. I have a 300 with the pitch control on the fast hitch so that should be a good match. Also, I am planning on welding a bar between the hitch points to keep them at the correct width to help when hooking and unhooking.

I found out what it is!!!!! Ottawa Super Chief post hole digger. It is awesome when you figure out what brand and model these old things are. No I just need to figure how to get the output shaft from the gear box out to replace the oil seal.
