Farmall A fan

Fun job remove the upper water casting from the block after removing the fan from it and getting belts off then you can remove the fan replace the fan assy with new one that has sealed bearings The nut on the back side does not turn you get the fan off by turning the shaft in front of the casting. getting the hose loose so you can remove the casting is fun also. Removing hood and grille is the easy part

The original fan hubs were a steel bore running on a steel shaft, lube by keeping the hub lubed with engine oil.

I believe the modern replacements as sold by this site and others use sealed ball bearings.

If not really loose and floppy or noisy, and you lube them once in a while they will last a long time.
