Were these tractors imported in red paint & sprayed yellow? I ask because there isn't a spot of yellow on the castings where I had expected there to be some. The engine & chassis castings on mine are covered in casting primer, a layer of IH red & then gold. Doesn't look like demo gold. If it was, it faded out to an ugly 70's Pontiac gold. Yuck! The hood, fenders & whatnot were the usual yellow that's now covered in (rim?) silver. I would guess the silver & gold scheme was ordered by the original owner, but I didn't know industrials came in red. Which brings up another question, did IH shoot different colors at the factories or was that strictly a dealer thing?
And one more thing. Was the whole tractor imported or just the engine & from where? UK or Neuss?
