The tractor I just got has a tag which reads
International Harvester Co.
Chicago Illinois
Model B. N. Serial No FABN 215040 Max RPM 1540
This would make it a BN from 1947 the Decal say Super A
it has a wide front end and a narrow rear end, where do look to find out what is right

The tractor is a Farmall Super A so plate should show FAA and serial number should show 250001 or greater. On the original Farmall A, AV, B and BN (1939-1947) the engine number matched the tractor serial number but this is not so on the Farmall Super A (1947 onwards). My 1948 Farmall Super A has tractor number FAA 253980 and engine FAAM 255269K.

NO my BA is the front of a B as in trike front and the back of an A. The narrow side has duals on it so to make it harder to roll it

Looks to be mutt much like the BA I built but my BA has the front of a B which is trike and the back of an A so it is a narrow trike which Farmall never made

Thwe grill is off a Farmall A as is has the two holes for the Farmall name plate whereas the Farmall Super A would have on a single hole for the IH plate.

Thanks for the info, so is there a way to date the tractor or tell what I have

Engine serial number should be stamped in block just in front of the coil in picture maybe an inch below head and 2 inches from front of block. Engine serial and tractor
serial were often close to each other if I remember right.
