FARMALL H low compression up date #4

I posted on here a couple weeks ago about an H with low compression (60 psi) in all cylinders after an engine rebuild, with help from guys on this site I (we) determined the timing was off. I pulled the front bolster/timing cover etc and found there was numerous marks on the cam gear (that I replaced). Why I choose the marks that I did originally I don't know or remember (I rebuilt this 5-6 years ago), and finally getting around to finishing the restoration. The cam was off about 30-40 degrees. This time I actually looked at piston/valve timing when putting it together (lesson learned) low and behold put it back together 95 psi in all cylinders (cold), fired right up on the second crank. Thanks again guys for the help! (sorry for the long post).

Your careful and accurate description of the valve timing was the key to my understanding of the issue. I am so glad it runs. Jim
